Chris has more than 15 years experience in business growth development, including senior positions in multi-national companies. He’s led the financial management of businesses, with budgets of £40 million and 1200 staff. He’s also led commercial projects and a business development team of 190 people. He’s been around long enough to see the recurring problems in businesses.
He’s qualified to help. He’s a Chartered Accountant with a background in Marketing, Training, Coaching and project, change and commercial management. This broad technical expertise gives the edge when supporting the diverse business issues that his clients face. But there’s one key element that makes the biggest difference to business success.
That key element is “people”. What they think, what they know and what they do. Chris has trained, coached, managed and led people for 15 years. He has a track record in helping people get better – measurable - results and more success.
Chris has worked with companies of all sizes and diverse industries including design agencies, retail boutique stores, manufacturing companies, distribution & fulfilment organisations, taxi firms and stationery suppliers. Although each client’s situation is specific the themes are consistent – which helped him focus on the area he can help best: people busy running businesses with all the pressure, especially about money. People with great experience of their particular business, but needing to tap into other knowledge or experience to make a breakthrough.
His philosophy is “work to live” – it’s just not right that people are stressed about money and working hard to have better businesses – it’s what they do with that success that makes the biggest difference with his clients. He has seen people do things they really didn’t believe possible – from buying a villa in Spain while continuing in business, to taking 2 extra days off every month, just to be with family. That’s really why we do this business thing after all, isn’t it?
He’s a musician and sportsman as well as a businessman. He’s a pianist and double bass player, part of a band that claims to be the best Eastern European Folk band in the whole of West Oxfordshire! (See

) On the sporting front he’s a regular footballer and squash player. And just for fun, he completed the London Triathlon (2002, 2003) and London Marathon (2004).
Above all, he’s a family man. This is the core of it – time with his wife and children is the most fun part of his life. That’s why he gave up commuting 1hr 50 each way to work. That’s why he set up Corewell Development. That’s why he’s so passionate about the opportunity a business can bring.
